This workshop will provide information on parental rights under the NJ Administrative Code pertaining to written notice, consent, confidentiality, access to records, dispute resolution procedures, disciplinary protections and more
This session is designed to help parents understand how Assistive Technology (AT) is considered during the IEP process and what it means for their child.
Participants will learn:
1.To gain a better understanding of the important documents that pertain to your child’s educational program.
2.To maintain educationally relevant documents in an organized manner.
3.To effectively participate in school meetings and discussions regarding your child’s educational services.
This workshop will discuss issues relating to transitioning from school to adult life, identifying outcomes, and developing goals as part of the IEP process. Parents and students will become knowledgeable regarding resources in the community in order to build linkages and ensure a dignified life as contributing citizens.
