Empowering families as advocates and partners in improving education, health/mental health and human services outcomes for infants, toddlers, children, youth and young adults.
We are committed to children and families with the greatest need due to disability or special health/mental health needs; poverty; discrimination based on race/ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, language, immigrant or homeless status; involvement in the child welfare or juvenile justice systems; geographic location; or other special circumstances. SPAN’s individual assistance, workshops, and resources are available in languages other than English. Learn more about us.

The presentation will provide an overview of the IEP process and describe the legal requirements for the Least Restrictive Environment principle.
This session is designed to help parents understand how Assistive Technology (AT) is considered during the IEP process and what it means for their child.
