Fathers and male caregivers play a vital role in a child’s development and school success.
This workshop will discuss issues relating to transitioning from school to adult life, identifying outcomes, and developing goals as part of the IEP process. Parents and students will become knowledgeable regarding resources in the community in order to build linkages and ensure a dignified life as contributing citizens.
Understanding key laws and policies that promote and protect inclusion.
Participants will learn:
1.To gain a better understanding of the important documents that pertain to your child’s educational program.
2.To maintain educationally relevant documents in an organized manner.
3.To effectively participate in school meetings and discussions regarding your child’s educational services.
Understanding the “why” behind children’s behaviors by exploring common developmental and emotional needs.
Better understand the functions of behavior.
Participants will learn how to navigate trusted resource networks, access free or low-cost services, and connect with local organizations that support both immediate needs and long-term stability.
Centered on the idea that the greatest gifts aren’t things but moments, this gathering encourages participants to shift focus from material giving to the joy of being present with one another.
Help children develop balanced and healthy technology habits.
This workshop provides participants with a description of the essential components of an Individualized Education Plan.
Learn how to set tech boundaries, talk about digital behavior, teach situational awareness, and respond to both online and offline safety concerns with confidence.
