Act Early Resilience Toolkit

Building resilience, or the ability to endure and grow from adversity, involves strengthening knowledge of parenting and child development, social connections and networks of support, and the social and emotional competence of children. The “Learn the Signs. Act Early.” Resilience Toolkit provides resources for supporting the developmental health and resiliency of children ages 3-5 and their families.

Track your child’s milestones from age 2 months to 5 years with the Milestone Tracker App from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The app provides illustrated milestone checklists, tips for encouraging your child’s development, and guidance on what to do if you’re concerned about how your child is developing.

How to Help Your Child Tip Sheet

This tip sheet provides guidance on how to get help if you are concerned about your child’s development. You will find information about how to talk with your child’s doctor about your concerns, and what to do before, during, and after the doctor’s appointment. 

Help Me Grow NJ Child Developmental Passport

The Help Me Grow NJ Child Developmental Passport is a parent tool for tracking your child’s health and wellness. The Passport includes definitions of developmental monitoring and screening, a well-child visit tracker, a developmental tracker, and a notes section to keep track of your child’s growth and development.

It’s never been easier to take a quick peek at your child’s development. The Quick Peek flyer and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) sheet provide information on how to get a free quick early developmental screening for children ages 1-5 from experts from Children’s Specialized Hospital.
