SPAN Testifies Before NJ State Senate on Proposed Charter School Legislation
On October 16, the NJ State Senate held hearings on proposed charter school legislation that would update and increase accountability for the operation and performance of charter schools and make them more accountable for students with disabilities, English language learners, and low-income students. Our testimony called for even greater accountability and oversight to ensure that charter schools do not discriminate against these students in admissions, provision of services, or discipline.
