Serving on Groups Guidebook - Section 2:Types of Groups

What’s the difference between a governing group and a planning group? Should I be a group leader or facilitator? Understanding the different types of decision-making groups is important because they all work a little differently, but although groups may differ, all have common roles that groups need members to fill for the group to be effective.  This section of the guidebook will help parents understand what type of group to join and what role to take in that group. Use this resource alone or in conjunction with the other Serving on Groups resources. It can be used by a single parent or for a training with a parent group to help prepare them to function more effectively as group members.
