Donate to SPAN
Each year, SPAN reaches thousands of New Jersey's children with the greatest challenges -- helping parents help their children find success in today’s world.
“Although there are many organizations that consider themselves advocates in the disability field, I will tell you that no one else is aggressively watching out for children's issues – all of them – the way SPAN does. As a mom, I really appreciate that.” – Brenda R., Parent
Your donation to SPAN will mean that we can reach more families and help more children. Our organization is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, so your contributions are tax deductible. Your employer may also provide matching funds.
Please contact us if we can work with you on a matching gift.
NYC Tours to Benefit the Statewide Parent Advocacy Network
Our Board President, John Morel, is also a licensed New York City Sightseeing Guide. John is offering tours of New York City as part of SPAN's fundraising efforts. 50% of all tour fees collected will be donated to SPAN. Here are some examples of tours John conducted last fall:
Greenwich Village: John led lead us through one of New York's most historic area, telling stories about this historic neighborhood that go all the way back to the days when the Dutch were trading with the Lenape Indians. Since Minetta Creek flowed through the land that would become Washington Square Park and around the Sand Hill, Greenwich Village has become the canvas on which a rich and diverse history has been painted by countless merchants, patriots, farmers, artists, radicals, reformers, politicians, and many more unsung heroes making an impact in their own small way. The tour took us through 4 centuries of New York City history.
Central Park: John took us further uptown, to walk through New York City's Backyard. These 843 acres began with a much humbler look than the sculpted and manicured masterpiece we see today. Central Park’s planning, design, creation and evolution provided the stage on which New York City’s most famous and infamous contributed to the drama of the city. On this tour, we strolled through the park’s biography, as well as touch on many of these dramas.
